Childhood obesity is still one of America’s biggest problem and even across the globe. Each year, millions of children are classified as obese and this makes them more prone to developing several kinds of ailments and diseases affecting their health status. So, in order to let your child live a healthy free, diet is the only solution that every parent should impose towards their children. But, dieting could be a traumatic experience for your child. So in order to avoid such occurrence let me give you some advices.
Encourage your child to exercise. Play is the best form of exercise for children. Allowing them to play will help them burn excessive fats while they are having fun. So, there’s no need to have them ban on watching tv or make strict rules on viewing times. If you do so, you will only make losing weight as a traumatic experienced. Encourage them on more active games a couple of hours a day. Increased their physical activities from time to time and make sure you give them the sufficient healthy diet they need.
Encourage healthy eating habit. Never let your child skip meals especially breakfast. Emphasize to your child the importance of eating 3 meals in a day in maintaining their energy levels all through out the day.
Be supportive towards your child when they are being overweight. Do not try to nag on your child about the issues on overweight or try to be too tight and strict about your child’s eating habit. Be patient with your project. Weight control requires patience and determination on both parties. Listen to what your child have to say about losing weight.
Be a good example. Eat healthy foods and work out yourself. You may also work out with your child by letting him join you in your jogging exercises or simply walking at the park. Be a good example of fitness instead. It is much easier to promote healthy eating and fitness when you are actually practicing good habits yourself.
Make a list of your child’s food likes and dislikes. Focus on the foods that you’re your child like and that are a good and healthy food choice.
