If a couple has been trying very hard to have a baby and has not been successful after about a year then infertility may be the problem. There are as many infertility causes in women as there are in men. The most common condition is when a woman has problems ovulating. There are several factors that can cause this. One is the age of a women, once a women reaches her thirties ovulation begins to slow down. The best time for ovulation is when a woman is in her late teenage years and early twenties. Problems with ovulation can also be caused by stress and being overworked. Medical conditions and infections that can cause cervical problems are infertility causes in women as well. If a woman suffers from tubal and pelvic conditions such as scared or blocked fallopian tubes, scar tissue or conditions like fibroids these can also be infertility causes. Uterine issues can create problems as well. Keep in mind that more than one problem can exist at one time.

You should also keep in mind that there are some causes of infertilities that are simply unknown. They could be due to something as simple as the fallopian tubes not being able to pick up the egg or the sperm failing to fertilize the egg. Many infertility causes in men and women can be eliminated if you know what is causing the problem. Therefore, if there is a problem with infertility in your home both of you should see your doctor to help determine if there are changes that can be made to help solve this problem.
